How to Use the HMC

Format Media

Use the Format Media task to format a DVD-RAM, USB flash memory drive, or diskette.

To format media:

1. Insert the chosen media into the appropriate drive or USB port
2. From the navigation pane, select Service Management.
3. From the work pane, select Format Media.
4. Select the desired media from the list.
5. Follow the prompts to format the media as desired.
