To remove the diskette drive:

1. Turn off the HMC and peripheral devices and disconnect all power cords.
2. Unlock and remove the side cover. (Refer to Removing and Replacing the Cover.)
3. Remove the lower bezel. (Refer to Removing and Replacing the Lower Bezel.)
4. Remove the upper bezel. (Refer to Removing and Replacing the Upper Bezel.)

Start the video ...

5. Disconnect the power cable and signal cable from the drive that is to be removed.
6. Press and hold the blue release button on the side of the bay to release the drive. Then, pull the drive out of the front of the HMC.
7. Remove the drive retainer clip from the side of the drive. Save the clip to use when you install the replacement drive.
8. If you are instructed to return the diskette drive, follow all packaging instructions, and use any packaging materials supplied to you for shipping.
