To remove the disk drive cage:

1. Turn off the HMC and peripheral devices and disconnect all power cords
2. Remove the cover. (Refer to Removing and Replacing the Cover.)
3. Remove the drives from the HMC. (Refer to Removing and Replacing the Hard Disk Drive.)
4. Remove the simple swap backplate. (Refer to Removing and Replacing the Simple Swap Backplate.)

5. Remove the three mounting screws. Then, slide the drive cage assembly forward and out of the HMC.
