Opening
a Terminal Window: 5250 Emulator
Choose the managed
system that contains the i5/OS partition you are trying to access.
(There is only one choice in this example.)
Choose the partition
on the managed system that you would like to access. (There is only
one choice in this example.)
Choose a dedicated
or shared connection. If you choose dedicated, others will not be
able to share the session with you. If you choose shared, you should
enter a session key that other users may use to share the same console
session. This allows you to see the same logical partition console
screens and navigate each of them together.
If you choose
Details, you can view which users are connected to this partition.
The screen at
left shows the login for a shared session. Enter a session key so
that others may share the console session.
After you have
entered a session key, or if you have chosen a dedicated session,
the screen at left is displayed, allowing you to login to the operating
system running on the partition.
