Sending
or Scheduling Transmission of Service Information to IBM
The Transmit
Service Information task allows you to perform immediate
transmission of service information to IBM or to schedule how frequently
you would like an automatic transmission to occur. Sending an immediate
or scheduled transmission of service information cannot take place
until a call-home server is configured using the Customize
Outbound Connectivity task on the HMC. (See Customize
Outbound Connectivity).
- In the Navigation Pane , select Service Management.
- In the Work Pane , select Transmit
Service Information.
- To transmit
immediately, in the Service Information transmission
section, click Send.
- To set up
a scheduled automatic transmission to IBM, check Schedule
when to transmit the service information and choose the
frequency and time you would like transmission to occur.
