Creating database indexes for class properties (case-insensitive search)

The procedure for creating database indexes can differ based on whether case-insensitive search behavior is in effect. Content Platform Engine implements case-insensitive search behavior in the following manner: it uses the LOWER function to convert all string column values in query statements to lowercase. For some database providers, the indexes that you create for class properties must likewise use the LOWER function.

Tip: Case-insensitive search behavior means that queries ignore character case when searching for string values. For information about setting this behavior, see Setting case-insensitive search behavior.
