Data flow

The IMS™ HP Load utility reads data from the unloaded data set that is generated by the IMS HP Unload utility, the IPR Unload utility of IMS Database Reorganization Expert, or the IMS HD Reorganization Unload utility (DFSURGU0), and reloads the data into the specified database.

The behavior of the IMS HP Load job can be controlled by the control statements that are specified in the FRRIN data set. After the job is run, the data is reloaded into the specified database and SYSPRINT data set contains statistics reports about the database.

The following figure shows the general data flow for the IMS HP Load utility.
