DB2 Version 10.1 for Linux, UNIX, and Windows

Diagnostic data collection for DB2 pureScale environments has been improved

Additional diagnostic data is now collected for DB2® pureScale® components by the enhanced db2support command. This improved diagnostic data collection can help speed the troubleshooting process in DB2 pureScale environments.

To help make the problem determination process faster in DB2 pureScale environments, the db2support command is improved to collect most diagnostic data that is specific to DB2 pureScale components, such as cluster manager, cluster file system and uDAPL, by default. The -purescale parameter of the db2support command is also enhanced. If you now specify the -purescale option, additional diagnostic data that is specific to DB2 pureScale environments is collected.

The db2support command now also collects diagnostic data from all hosts, which include both members and cluster caching facility (CF), by default. This improvement ensures that all information that might be necessary during the troubleshooting process is collected by default.

To help you quickly search for any diagnostic data that is collected by the db2support command, the db2support.html file is now enhanced to include links of the data collected in the db2support.html file that point to its corresponding flat files in the subdirectory of the db2support package. A plain text version of the map file called db2support.map file is also included in the db2support package.
