FP1: Default value or behavior of selected IBM Data Server Driver keywords have changed
In Version 10.1 Fix Pack 1 and later fix packs, the default values for the QueryTimeoutInterval CLI/ODBC configuration keyword, and ClientWorkstationName IBM® Data Server Driver keywords have changed. Also, the behavior of ConnectionTimeout keyword has changed.
FP1: Default values of selected automatic client reroute IBM Data Server Driver keywords have changed
Starting in Version 10.1 Fix Pack 1, the default values for the maxRefreshInterval, maxACRRetries, MaxTransports, MaxTransportIdleTime, and MaxTransportWaitTime IBM Data Server Driver keywords have changed.
XML casting error (SQL16061N) less likely to occur
To avoid unnecessary interruptions while querying XML data, casting and truncation is now handled in a similar way as for SQL.
Optimizer can now choose VARCHAR indexes for queries that contain fn:starts-with
Starting in DB2® V10.1, for queries with predicates that contain the fn:starts-with function, the optimizer can now choose to use VARCHAR-type indexes.
CREATE GLOBAL TEMPORARY TABLE and DECLARE GLOBAL TEMPORARY TABLE statements have been changed
Implicitly hidden columns in created temporary tables and declared temporary tables are not supported.
Some catalog views and built-in routines changed to include member information
In V10.1, some system catalog views and administrative SQL routines changed to include the database member information.
Some built-in string functions have changed result data types in Unicode databases
In V10.1, the result data type of some built-in string functions have been changed to align correctly to the detailed documentation topic for the function.
Some special registers have changed
To support new features in Version 10.1, special registers have been added and modified.
