APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • Applying an invalid audit/security configuration with the IBM
    Case
    Manager configuration tool command line, configmgr_cl, does not
    log an error or return an error to the user.
    This is misleading as the person running the tool may believe
    that the command executed successfully.
    
    Here is an example of the command:
    configmgr_cl applySolutionAuditManifest -profile profileName
    -manifestName AuditManifest -targetEnvName TargetEnvName
    -solutionName SolutionName
    
    configmgr_cl applySolutionSecurityManifest -profile profileName
    -manifestName SecurityManifest -targetEnvName TargetEnvName
    -solutionName SolutionName
    

Local fix

  • Workarounds:
    1) Audit Manifest: Check to ensure that the audit being applied
    was either created on the same env, or if it is imported, that
    the imported manifest contains properties that have been created
    in the target env.
    2) Security Manifest: Check to ensure that the users and roles
    defined in the manifest contain valid values for the currently
    environment.  If it contains invalid roles or users, correct
    those prior to applying the manifest.
    2) Use the IBM Case Manager administration client to apply the
    audit/security manifest.

Problem conclusion

  • Fixed in 5.2.1.6-ICM-FP006 or later.  With the fix, applying an
    invalid audit/security configuration with the IBM Case Manager
    configuration tool command line, configmgr_cl, will log an error
    and return an error to the user.
