Abstract
This document describes how to download eDiscovery Manager Version 2.2 Fix Pack 1 by using the Fix Central web site.
Download Description
eDiscovery Manager is an Electronic Discovery (eDiscovery) tool that is the foundation for IBM's proactive, platform-based eDiscovery solution. This solution enables organizations to respond to litigation with a lower-cost, in-house approach that negates the need to fully outsource the eDiscovery process.
Space requirements
These space requirements are only for installing IBM eDiscovery Manager. They are not for any of the prerequisite software.
- 450 MB of temporary disk space to install the product.
- 250 MB of free disk space for the installed product.
If you install WebSphere Application Server on a different file system (AIX) or drive (Windows) than eDiscovery Manager, you need an additional 70 MB of free disk space on the file system or drive where WebSphere Application Server resides. This space is used for the deployment of the eDiscovery Manager application server.

APARs fixed in this release
Below is a list of the APARs that were fixed in this release.
APARs fixed in version 2.2 Fix Pack 1 of IBM eDiscovery Manager
APAR | Brief problem description |
HD97553 | Large audit reports (for example, larger than 2 MB) could not be viewed in HTML format. |
HD99021 | The syntax for a scheduled search was not validated when creating the search, so any query errors were not discovered until the search was actually attempted at the scheduled time. |
HD99464 | A nonrepeating scheduled search sometimes was shown with a Pending status at the Task Status tab after the task for the search completed. |
HE01639 | An email could not be processed if the email contained an attached email with a Subject that used a character that is not supported within a file name on Microsoft Windows, such as a colon (:) or backslash (\). |
HE01800 | The export of an email would fail if the email contained an attachment whose name included a character that is not supported within a file name on Microsoft Windows, such as a colon (:) or backslash (\). |
HE01801 | After searching for a recipient that was part of a "Bcc" list, only the first name in the "Bcc" list was displayed in the search results and in the email preview. If the recipient that was specified in the search terms was not the first name in the "Bcc" list, the name of that recipient was not visible. |
HE02006 | Embedded objects or attachments for Lotus Notes emails that were archived by IBM Content Collector sometimes could not be viewed with the native Lotus Notes client or exported to the native export format. |
HE02742 | When using the Internet Explorer web browser, if a folder name contained an ampersand (&), the ampersand did not appear in the folder name in the list of folders at the Case Information page. |
HE02775 | In IBM FileNet P8 configurations, searching audit records by specifying user names sometimes produced incorrect search results. |
HE02800 | When using the convertStreamToNativeView() methods, a large number of unnecessary *_ATT directories were created. |
HE03065 | Lotus Notes emails that contained embedded objects or attachments and that were archived by IBM Content Collector could not be viewed with the native Lotus Notes client or exported to the native export format. These issues occurred when the Lotus Notes emails were archived by Content Collector Version 2.1.1.3 LA006 or higher, or by Content Collector Version 2.2 or higher. |
HE03311 | Sometimes only the first part of a multipart email could be viewed, with subsequent parts completely missing. |
HE03719 | After upgrading to eDiscovery Manager version 2.2 in an environment that uses IBM FileNet P8 content servers, searches sometimes failed with error message DYRS2035E "The search produced too many results to display," even when the search results were expected to be small in number, or had been displayed successfully before upgrading. |
HE04293 | When retrieving the count for search results that include content that was archived multiple times by IBM Content Collector, eDiscovery Manager counted all versions of the content. This resulted in a count that was higher than the number of unique documents in the search results. (This was true only for content that was re-archived after it was added to an eDiscovery Manager case.) |
HE04405 | After upgrading to version 2.2, some passwords no longer worked with eDiscovery Manager password manager, the tool that bypasses the password prompt to the remote Lotus Domino server. |
HE04408 | For cases with large case descriptions, the Case Details page did not use the screen real estate efficiently, requiring administrators to scroll down to the 'Edit case' and 'Deactivate case' links. |
HE04439 | SaveResultToFolder tasks always displayed the name of the eDiscovery administrator in the Created by field instead of the name of the users that scheduled the tasks. |
HE04453 | The Started and Finished times that were displayed in the Task Status page and in the Task Details window were different. One displayed the time in the server's time zone while the other displayed the time in the client's time zone. Both times are now displayed in the client's time zone. |
HE04859 | Email attachments with names that contained the Tab character could not be exported successfully. Beginning in version 2.2 Fix Pack 1, if any of the following special characters are used in attachment names, they are replaced with an underscore (_) character when the attachments are exported. AIX
/ (forward slash)
* (asterisk) \ (backslash) : (colon) / (forward slash) < (greater than) > (less than) | (pipe) ? (question mark) " (quotation mark) \t (tab character) |
HE04864 | When attempting to open a Lotus Notes calendar appointment in an export file, the error "Document has been deleted" could occur. |
HE05471 | eDiscovery Manager could not communicate with an LDAP server by using SSL. |
HE05666 | Attempting to test the connection to an LDAP server by clicking Test Connection on the LDAP pane of the Administration page failed if the password contained a backslash (\) character and the administrator had already clicked Apply at least once. |
HE05869 | Support for the TIEFLAG property was missing in eDiscovery Manager Version 2.2. Administrators could not add this property to collections, so they could not search on TIEFLAG values or display TIEFLAG values in search results. |
HE06312 | Stemmed search was not working. |
HE06316 | After a scheduled search had run at least once, users were unable to modify the schedule of that search. |
HE06516 | Section 4.4 ("Searching for audit records by user") of the technote Additional product information for IBM eDiscovery Manager Version 2.2 Fix Pack 1 was corrected after its initial publication. |
HE06542 | Errors could occur when users tried to retrieve tasks or scheduled searches. |
HE06590 | Users were unable to export some email because of a duplicate UNID issue. |
