Error description

• The ipas.audit Java process is crashing and the
  dump error is:
  
  CWZIP1185E A Java system dump was generated for process:
  ipas.audit running as PID XXXXXXX
  
  This is caused by JVM threads being blocked leading to the
  audit JVM timing out and restarting. This causes intermittent
  audit service outages.
  
  During that time, the user will see an "Audit Service
  not available" error when accessing:
  
  System Console > System > Auditing
  

Local fix

Problem summary

• The audit processes Java virtual machine was running into an
  out-of-memory issue which caused the process to hang.
  

Problem conclusion

• An audit job script handling update is being provided to prevent
  the out-of-memory and process hang situation from occurring.
