Local fix

Problem summary

  • ****************************************************************
    * USERS AFFECTED: Any user of macro API ASSEMBLED with TCP/IP *
    *                 V3R1 and running on TCP/IP V3.2 base, where  *
    * different modules issue EZASMI macros using *
    *                 the same TIE.                                *
    ****************************************************************
    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: An ABEND can occur upon return from *
    * EZASMI macro call due to corrupted *
    *                      registers.                              *
    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION: none.                                        *
    ****************************************************************
    When EZASOK03 is called by a second module using the same TIE,
    It does not build a new Save Area linkage. Therefore, when it
    returns from the macro, it restores the users registers to
    those last saved in the save area of the first calling module.

Problem conclusion

  • Module EZASOK03 was modified to create the correct SAVE AREA
    linkage on all invocations.
    Additional Symptoms: ABEND0c4, Abend0c1, DV12252 MV12252.
