"Formula error" returned when users attempt to access iNotes 8.5.2 Fix Pack 3

Problem

In some cases, users are unable to access iNotes after the server is upgraded to 8.5.2 Fix Pack 3. After entering their login name and password, iNotes users receive the following error:

Lotus iNotes Warning
Problem: Formula Error
Solution: Click here to refresh your browser




Refreshing the browser does not clear the issue.


Resolving the problem

This issue is being tracked under SPR# JDOE8ECMAR and is addressed in Interim Fix 1 for iNotes 8.5.2 Fix Pack 3, which is available for download from Fix Central (direct download link provided below). See technote #1508250 for additional information about this Interim Fix.


NOTE: It is recommended that you also consider applying a separate Interim Fix that addresses an IMAP issue affecting Domino 8.5.2 FP3. For more information see technote #1508247.

Workaround
Some customers have worked around this issue by setting the server's OS locale to a language that uses commas instead of periods for the thousands separator.
