TNPM - Percentile

Technote (FAQ)

Question

How often is Percentiles calculated and loaded to the database, and what options are available for hourly and daily capture of that information?

Answer

1. The smallest supported granularity for Percentile aggregation is the daily aggregation (note that there is no raw/hourly aggregation values that are flushed/loaded to the Database). This means that raw data is processed by the CME and aggregated hourly on the fly to a "running" daily aggregated value. At midnight GMT, this "running" daily aggregated value is flushed and loaded to the Database

2. The largest granularity for Percentile aggregation is monthly aggregation.

3. The following table shows the available granularity settings for a Timeseries Chart vs a Summary Table:

For example, in the Weekly report period:
a) In the time series chart, there are 7 daily aggregated percentile values.
b) In the summary table, these 7 daily aggregated percentile values are further aggregated/rolled-up to one weekly aggregated percentile value.
