"CWPCA8522E: Application did not get installed ..." error occurs when users attempt to access mail file
Intermittently and randomly, when users attempt to open either their local or server-based mail file, the following error appears: "CWPCA8522E: Application did not get installed..." Once the user clicks OK, first the dialog box closes and then Notes crashes immediately after.
Resolving the problem
This issue has been reported to Quality Engineering as SPR #PJON8HEW4C and is addressed in 8.5.2 (via Expeditor 6.2.2).
Possible cause & workaround
One common cause of this error is when there are multiple XML files defined in the Composite Application portion of the application referenced in the error message. As a workaround, replace the application's template.
