Problem
IBM® Rational® RequisitePro® client for Web (RequisiteWeb) users receive errors when creating requirements in Microsoft® Word documents in the French version of Microsoft Office 2007 SP2 on French versions of Microsoft Windows® 7 and Windows Server® 2008 R2.
Symptom
After you take a Word document offline, create requirements in the document, and bring it back online, an error occurs:

Environment
French versions of Office 2007 SP2 with Windows 7, or with Windows Server 2008 R2.
Resolving The Problem
To solve this problem, perform these steps on the RequisiteWeb server:
- On the RequisiteWeb server, use Windows Computer Management to stop the following RequisiteWeb services:
- IBM WebSphere Application Server V6.1 - RWP ReqWeb Servlet
- IBM HTTP Service 6.1 - Rational SDLC
- Locate the Regtlib.exe executable file. If you have installed Virtual Studio 2005, the file is located in the following directory:
If not, download it from the Microsoft support page http://support.microsoft.com/kb/197298. It is offered as part of an update.C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.507274
- Open command prompt by clicking Start > Run and type: cmd.
- In the cmd.exe window, navigate to the directory that contains the Regtlib.exe file and type the following:
Wait until the registration of MSWORD.OLB is successful.Regtlib.exe "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office12\MSWORD.OLB"
- Use Windows Computer Management to start the following RequisiteWeb services:
IBM WebSphere Application Server V6.1 - RWP ReqWeb Servlet IBM HTTP Service 6.1 - Rational SDLC
Also to avoid the error, you can use Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 R2 with Office 2007 SP1 or Office 2007 without a Service Pack.
