Error description

  • If there is a 'space' char within the Accept-Language HTTP
    header then an exception can happen and the request is not
    successful. Some mobile devices are known to insert a 'space'
    char before or after the semicolon between the 'language' and
    the 'quality' definition. The specification allows an optional
    white space (OWS) before and after the ';' [Accept-Language-v =
    1#( language-range [ OWS ";" OWS "q=" qvalue ] )].
    The exception that can be seen when there is a 'space' char
    after the ';' is a

Local fix

  • Remove spaces from Accept-Language HTTP header in browser (not
    possible for all clients, ie. mobile devices)

Problem conclusion

  • Remove 'space' delimiter from Tokenizer that parses the
    Accept-Language header.
