Problem summary

* USERS AFFECTED: All Omegamon XE on z/OS V420 users.          *

* PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: High cpu in the TEMS or the Omegamon    *
*                      realtime collector task when common     *
*                      storage data is requested.              *
****************************************************************
* RECOMMENDATION: Apply the PTF.                               *
****************************************************************
When the number of common storage blocks allocated exceeds the
default internal Omegamon work buffer, a larger buffer is
obtained and the code retries the call to obtain the data.
When the retry is done, the NOSORT option is ignored resulting
in higher cpu.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • Modified the code to retain the NOSORT option when a retry is
done.  Also implement the NOSORT option for the Omegamon XE
orphaned storage workspace.
