    1.  TEPS workspaces/attributes for time values are not
        granular enough.
    2.  Application metrics (e.g., call counts) are for the
        entire application schedule instead of a transaction
        instance (Unit of Recovery).
    3.  Usability issues for ATF:
        A. Unable to activate traces at OMEGAMON startup
        B. Trace definitions not saved between OMEGAMON recycles
        C. Trace duration is limiting
        D. Unable to view trace data based on Trace ID
        E. Reduce overhead by allowing only transactions
           that have an exception (e.g., abend, elapsed time or
           CPU time greater than a threshold) to be traced and
           written to an exceptions journal.
        F. Elapsed times for DL/I, DB2, and MQ are not provided.
        G. Unable to filter trace data by multiple resource name
           (e.g., transaction name, PSB name).
        H. Unable to write ATF trace data to the Journal Logging
           Facility (JLF) more frequently than when the buffer
           is full in a high-volume transaction environment.
    4.  Miscellaneous ATF corrections.
    5.  Miscellaneous Journal Logging Facility (JLF) corrections.
    6.  OTR901: ITRF IS ENDING issued as recovery shutdown TRF.

  • 1.  TEPS workspaces/attributes for time values are now
        in microseconds.
    2.  Approximately 25 existing application metrics updated
        and 27 new metrics added to the 3270 and TEP interfaces
        provide statistics for a transaction instance (UOR).
        In addition, six new exceptions (3270) and product-
        provided situations (TEP) have been added.
    3.  ATF usability enhancements provided by IF3:
        A. Automatic activation of traces at OMEGAMON startup
        B. All trace definitions retained in new Trace Repository
        C. Trace duration increased to 99999 minutes and forever
           duration allowed.
        D. Manage Application Trace (ATMN command) displays
           Trace ID's from the Trace Repository and allows an
           V or X action to display trace data by the Trace ID.
        E. Exception-level trace data can now be written to new
           exception journals (I2ATXnn) as well as the existing
           detail journal.
        F. Elapsed times for DL/I, DB2, and MQ are now provided.
           Summary displays have been enhanced to show elapsed
           time summaries and CPU time summaries.
        G. Enhanced filtering of trace data allows multiple
           resource names, exclusion of region types, and
           filtering on various elapsed times and CPU times.
        H. The existing SANDBOX ATF startup parameter allows a
           new value of nnn where nnn=1-999. An nnn value
           indicates the number of seconds ATF should wait
           before writing a partially filled buffer to JLF.
    4.  ATF corrections provided for Quick Schedule, Primed
        Message, message GU DL/I time, DL/I CPU time matching
        total, increase start and end times to microseconds, S0C4
        in I2AC, corrections to discrepancies with IMS Program
        Analyzer for elapsed/CPU times and start date/time
        for elapsed/CPU times and start date/times.
    5.  JLF corrections to resolve following items:
        - OIJ502: I2ATF VSAM DATASET OPEN RC:000000A8
        - OIJ602: OIJVR OPEN  ENDED WITH RETURN CODE :000000A8
        - Missing trace data after a recycle due to VSAM file
          end key being greater than the start key of the next
          VSAM file.
        - S502 ABEND on POST SVC from JLFCALL WRITE due to
          Events table being full.
    6.  OTR901: ITRF IS ENDING occurred due to a S0C4 in I2PC.
