Error description

  • Customer wants to be able to write a generic Java class that can
use NSCO.JAR to do a DIIOP connection to any arbitrary Domino
server. Problem is that every server has its own
TrustedCert.class file. Need a way to grab any server's
TrustedCert.class file and update the Java classpath.

Local fix

  • Recommend that customer publish the TrustedCert.class file into
the Domino server's HTML subdirectory. This way, clients can
grab the file. Suggested that customer set a static Java
classpath (e.g. c:\temp\TrustedCert.class) and then have some
initialization code in the Java application that pulls down the
Trustedcert.class file for a specific server and overwrites the
existing TrustedCert.class on the local workstation. Then, an
SSL IIOP connection can be set up.
