Abstract

Intel has reported PAGE FAULT OR CORRUPTED DATA USING 64-BIT APP IN 64-BIT NOS (Fix is Now Available)

Content

NOTICE: This fix is now available and will be updated as part of the R1.2 update.

Page faults, potential data loss, data corruption, blue screens, and other unpredictable behavior appear or occur on a system only when running a 64-bit application in a 64-bit capable Network Operating System (NOS). 32-bit applications in either 32-bit or 64-bit NOS are not affected. Although IBM Development is not aware of any instances in which this issue has occurred on or impacted a SONAS system, it is not possible to rule out its occurrence.

We are working with our suppliers to qualify and release a new BIOS which corrects the issue.
