DATE APAR PTF VOLID COMMENTS 1. 04/09/23 PQ91547 UQ91616 0408 PTF will return GIM38201E error for SAMP ENTRY ABJ058. ABJ058 has been defined with RMID=UQ21976 whereas it should be RMID=H09F210. Solution: update SMP/E entry e.g. SET BDY (TARGET). UCLIN. REP SAMP(ABJ058) RMID(H09F210). ENDUCL. SET BDY (DLIB). UCLIN. REP SAMP(ABJ058) RMID(H09F210). ENDUCL. Alternate solution: reject UQ91616 add a PRE statement for UQ21976 receive and apply the edited version of the PTF.

Installation Information

This section contains changes to the product's Program Directory. 2. 03/10/28 Before converting the ABJIVP03 installation validation program ensure that you are using a CICS product which predates CICS/TS 2.2. This IVP is an OS/VS COBOL CICS program which requires the OS/VS COBOL CICS compiler. Support for OS/VS COBOL was removed from CICS/TS 2.2 and later translators. 1. 00/02/08 Section 6.2.2 of the Program Directory incorrectly shows in part 2 of Figure 21 the following: 17,'PANEL(ABJ@M2) NEWAPPL(ISR)' This, and the accompanying note 2, should show the value of NEWAPPL as being: 17,'PANEL(ABJ@M2) NEWAPPL(ABJ)'

General Information

This section contains general information, i.e. SYSGEN hints/tips. 2. 02/08/13 TIP to simplify the post-PTF actions:- After the application of PTFs (including UQ62518 and UQ66708) the following 4 steps will negate the need to perform all the individual PTF post-implementation actions. Submit the following batch jobs. a. Rebuild the Reserved Word Table. Tailor and run the ABJFILE2 job supplied as a member within library <hlq>.SABJSAM1. b. Rebuild the Message file. Tailor and run the ABJFILE1 job supplied as a member within library <hlq>.SABJSAM1. c. Clear and rebuild the Driven file. Tailor and run the ABJFILE3 job supplied as a member within library <hlq>.SABJSAM1. Tailor and run the ABJLCPCX job supplied as a member within library <hlq>.SABJSAM1. 1. 98/11/05 When using the OS/VS COBOL compiler with CCCA to assist in the conversion of CICS COBOL programs with BLL cells, ensure that all copybook libraries associated with SYSLIB have a block size NOT GREATER than 16K. The OS/VS COBOL compiler cannot access libraries with a block size greater than th size and any attempt to do so will result in the conversion process abending with the following compiler error: "IKF1197I-E LIBRARY BLKSIZE EXCEEDS 16K."
