  • When IOBSNMP is autologged message IOB002I is received.
    Since the SNMP agent did not complete initialization IOBSNMP
    terminated.
    

Local fix

  • IOBSNMP can be manually started after the SNMP agent has
    completed its initialization.

    IOBSNMP exits and issues IOB002I if it is started, usually
    via autolog, and OSNMPD is not active.

Problem conclusion

  • Module IOBSNMP has been amended to try to connect to the socket.
    If the connect fails the module will wait and retry up to 5
    times within the next 5 minutes.  If the connect attempt
    continues to fail the module will then terminate.
