How to restrict users to only save and schedule reports from their own 'My Folders'

Resolving The Problem

Configure permissions as follows:

1. Grant read, and traverse and execute
2. Deny write

1. Login as a System Administrator
2. Create a user named test_user
3. Navigate to Directory-Cognos;
4. Click "set properties" of Consumers group; select "Members" tab.
5. Add test_user to this group
   

1. Create a folder named test_folder
2. Click "set properties" of test_folder, and select the Permissions tab
3. Select the check box to the left of Consumers group
4. Select "deny" for "write" permissions and "apply"; select "ok"
5. Create a report named test_report
6. Copy this test_report to the test_folder
7. Click "set properties" of report; click permissions tab
   
   Verify that test_report inherited the same properties as test_folder
   (read, traverse, execute & write denied)
   
8. Logoff as Administrator
9. Login as test_user
10. Navigate to test_folder
11. Run test_report from test_folder (this succeeds)
12. Close test_report
13. Open Report Studio
14. Open test_report
15. Run test_report, then close it.
16. "Save" test_report (this fails)
17. "Save As" test_report to "My Folders" (this succeeds)
18. Within the test_folder, select the schedule icon for test_report (the report cannot be scheduled)
19. Within My Folders, select the schedule icon of test_report (now, the report can be scheduled)
