Error description

  • TCP/IP connection is started by VSE/POWER PNET using the CSI TCP
    /IP stack. CONNECT request is posted complete but following RECE
    IVE request is posted with ERRNO=1124. Thereafter POWER loops
    producing a dump and issuing msg 1Q2JI and 1RT2I with ERRNO=113
    and CLOSE request.

    FOR TCP/IP USERS:
    1.WHEN THE OUTSTANDING RECEIVE IS POSTED COMPLETE
      BEFORE THE SEND IS POSTED COMPLETE DURING INITIALIZATION
      OF A CONNECTION, THE CONNECTION HANGS.
    2.WHEN THE TD-SUBTASK IS POSTED BEFORE MAINTASK HAS SET
      'I/O STARTED', MESSAGE 1RTLI IS ISSUED AND CONNECTION
      STOPPED.
    3.ONCE THE ACCEPT REQUEST FAILS, THE PASSIVE CONNECTION
      IS STOPPED AND NO NEW ACCEPT REQUEST IS STARTED.
    4.DUE TO SOME ERRNO, A LOOP MAY OCCUR WHEN CLOSING THE
      PASSIVE CONNECTION: MESSAGE 1RT2 IS ISSUED AND IDUMPS
      ARE PRODUCED.
    

Problem conclusion

  • FOR TCP/IP USERS:
    1.AVOID SOCKETCALL CLOSE FOR ERRNO 113.
    2.WHEN THE SOCKETCALL SEND IS POSTED COMPLETE
      AND THE SOCKETCALL RECEIVE HAS ALREADY PREVIOUSLY
      BEEN POSTED COMPLETE, POST THE I/O COMPLETE NOW
      (WHEN BEING IN THE INITIAL STATE),
    3.MAINTASK SETS 'I/O STARTED' AFTER HAVING QUEUED THE
      NCB FOR PROCESSING BY TCP/IP SUBTASK.
    4.ONCE THE ACCEPT REQUEST FAILS, THE PASSIVE CONNECTION
      IS STARTED ANEW.
    5.DISPLAY SOCKET NUMBER FOR PASSIVE CONNECTION IN MESSAGE
       1RT7I  TCP/IP: INTERFACE STARTING,
                     SOCKET CALL BIND SOK=0000 ISSUED
      AND IN MESSAGE 1RT2I:
       1RT2I  TCP/IP: EZASMI MACRO-REQUEST LISTEN FAILED,
           RC=-0000001, ERRNO=+0000113, TS=08, SOK=0000
