IBM Information Integrator for Content enables IBM CMIS for Content Manager to communicate with the Content Manager EE server. You must install the version of the Information Integrator for Content that is included with the version of the Content Manager EE to which you are connecting. IBM CMIS requires IBM Information Integrator for Content but IBM Information Integrator for Content does not require installation of IBM CMIS.

Important: The instance of IBM Information Integrator for Content that IBM CMIS uses must be installed on the same machine as IBM CMIS. The Content Manager EE Connector in IBM Information Integrator for Content must be configured before configuring IBM CMIS. The installation of IBM CMIS does not require IBM Information Integrator for Content, however, the configuration of IBM CMIS requires that Content Manager EE Connector in IBM Information Integrator for Content must be configured before configuring IBM CMIS.

For more information for installing IBM CMIS for Content Manager and the Content Manager EE, see Installing IBM CMIS for Content Manager in the information center.

Sizing and capacity planning

IBM CMIS for Content Manager requires a minimum of:

  • Disk space: 200 MB
  • Memory: 1 GB

The amount of necessary CPU processing power, RAM, and disk space vary depending on your specific workload and your desired system capacity and performance. To build the best working system for your needs, build a test system and then move the system into production after you verify that it meets your needs.
