LO61129: ALLOW ADMIN SPECIFIED LIMIT ON MAIL, CALENDAR AND NOTES FILTER.
Closed as program error.
Currently there is no way to force a limit on a the amount of mail a particular Apple device user can sync. On the device the user can select "No Limit" and then sync the entire inbox and calendar. This can cause a performance hit on systems not capable of the sudden increase in data sync. As a work around will provide a configuration option to Administrators to allow for a hard limit on amount of data user's can sync.
The ability to sync entire Calendar, Inbox or all Notes can cause undo stress on some Traveler servers and in some cases cause Out of Memory crash or unresponsiveness. As a work around will provide configurable Maximum filter ranges.
Adding these any of these paramters to the <data>\traveler\cfg\NTSConfig.xml file will force the maximum filter range to be the specified number of days. Add to TrueSyncServer section and restart Traveler after updates made. <PROPERTY NAME="USER_EMAIL_LIMIT" VALUE="14"/> <PROPERTY NAME="USER_EVENTS_LIMIT" VALUE="30"/> <PROPERTY NAME="USER_NOTES_LIMIT" VALUE="30"/> Setting to zero sets no maximum limit, this is the default.
This will be included in Lotus Notes Traveler 220.127.116.11 and any future releases. http://www.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg24019529
