    ****************************************************************
A LOAD utility was run on a table with a unique index.
During the LOAD, a huge number of duplicate keys were detected
resulting in DSNU345I - UNIQUE INDEX KEY DUPLICATES KEY FROM
INPUT RECORD... being issued. During the LOAD, message
ICE247I - INTERMEDIATE MERGE ENTERED - PERFORMANCE MAY BE
DEGRADED was also issued. Following this, LOAD abended with
    ABEND04E RC00E20015 at DSNSVSTK + x'0124' followed by ABEND04E
    RC00E40020. DB2 then issued MSGDSNV086E - DB2 ABNORMAL
TERMINATION and abnormally terminated with ABEND04F RC00E50706
due to below the bar storage shortage.

The storage shortage occurred because the control blocks used
to handle duplicate keys were not reused nor deallocated, but
always newly allocated when processing the duplicate keys.

Problem conclusion

  • The code has been modified to properly allocate and reuse
    storage for duplicate keys processing.
