Comments

  • (1) SYSPROC.ADMIN_INFO_SYSPARM is enhanced to return, in the
ADDITIONAL_INFO column of its result table
SYSIBM.DB2_SYSPARM, information showing whether or not a
ZPARM is allowed by DB2 to be changed online. If a
parameter can be changed online, the ADDITIONAL_INFO
column contains the string "ONLINE=Y". Otherwise, this
        column contains the string "ONLINE=N".

    (2) The GET_CONFIG stored procedure is enhanced to return,
in its Version 1.0, 1.1, and 2.0 XML output document,
information showing whether or not a ZPARM is allowed by
        DB2 to be changed online.

Note: 2.0 is the highest XML output document version
currently supported by GET_SYSTEM_INFO. This APAR does not
generate a new XML output document version to return the
information on whether or not a ZPARM can be changed online.

The following example shows a fragment of the XML output
document returned by GET_CONFIG with the new Online Update
entry. If a ZPARM can be changed online, its Online Update
value is set to Yes. Otherwise, its Online Update value is
        set to No.
