The solution provides the capability of monitoring IBM Tivoli Identity Manager v5.1 services using the IBM Tivoli Monitoring v6.2.2 Universal Agent.
Any successful deployment of an Identity Management solution requires ongoing monitoring to ensure that system performance and availability meets an organization’s goals. This solution is developed to monitor IBM Tivoli® Identity Manager with the IBM Tivoli® Monitoring Universal Agent.
This solution is built on a set of best practices for monitoring IBM Tivoli Identity Manager and its component parts that have been collected over years of research into successful deployments. This solution allows organizations to reduce downtime by catching failures as soon as they occur and to prevent outages by alerting responders of potential performance and capacity issues as they begin to develop.
This solution is most focused on monitoring IBM Tivoli Identity Manager Version 5.1 servers, but it can be extended to other versions of IBM Tivoli Identity Manager by following the examples in the "Data Collection Overview".
