White Paper: Tivoli Provisioning Manager 5.1.1: Server Recovery after Database Corruption
A standard best practice for Tivoli Provisioning Manager (TPM) 5.1.1 is management of regular and scheduled database backups. This best practice, along with many others, is documented in the TPM 5.1.1: Database Hygiene Recommendations white paper. However, for a variety of reasons, whether bad planning, bad luck, or a combination thereof, it is possible to have a situation where the database is corrupt with no available backups and no clear recourse for recovery. This document will provide a recovery scenario for this situation.
