Design Template to design, develop and deploy a staging solution for TPM based on a concurrent versions repository
This document describes a solution for the automatic transfer of software or development results to differ-ent productive environments. Software is usually developed in a non-production environment. After development, the software has to be tested in a production-like environment. If the software passes all tests, it is used in the production environment. The following chapters focus on how to transfer that software with least effort between these environments for optimal software deployment results.
Target audience are solution or infrastructure architects, IBM Tivoli Provisioning Manager specialists, in-frastructure specialists as well as infrastructure engineers for automated software development & packaging.
The chapters "risks when not implementing the staging concept" and "efforts" may be used as input for management decisions.
