White Paper: Tivoli Provisioning Manager 5.1.1: An Automated HADR Customer Solution using Tivoli Systems Automation for Multiplatforms
High availability and disaster recovery (HADR) is a mechanism to ensure the functioning of a computer system in the event of specific failures. High Availability (HA) tends to focus on local site recovery in the event of hardware or software failures. Disaster Recovery (DR) tends to focus on remote site manual restoration mechanisms in the event of massive failure at the local site.
This document will describe an automated HA solution implemented for IBM Tivoli Provisioning Manager (TPM) 5.1. The solution is based upon Tivoli Systems Automation for Multiplatforms (TSA MP).
