You
can use the troubleshooting tables to find solutions to problems
that have identifiable symptoms. The tables contain a list of symptoms
and the suggested action to take to solve the problem. There is
a table for each HMC component. For information about these tables,
refer to the Service Guide for Deskside and Rack-mounted
Consoles manual.
Note:
The troubleshooting tables may refer to a parts listing. Make sure
you are using the parts listing for the specific HMC you are servicing
-- 7042-CR4 or 7042-C06.
If you cannot
find the problem using these tables, you should run the diagnostic
programs used to test the components of the HMC. Refer to the Service
Guide for Deskside and Rack-mounted Consoles manual
for information about running the diagnostic programs.
