Manage Task Roles
When you create
an HMC user, you must assign that user a task role. Each task role
allows the user varying levels of access to tasks available on the
HMC. There are five predefined roles:
- super administrator
- service
representative
- operator
- product engineer
- viewer
To modify an
existing predefined user access task role or add a user access task
role:
- From the
Navigation Pane, select HMC Management.
- From the
Work Pane, select Manage Task and Resource Roles.
- To modify
a task role, select Task Roles. A list of currently
defined roles is displayed.
- Highlight
the targeted role and select Edit. The Modify
Role window displays.
- Make your
changes and click OK.
Note: You cannot modify or remove a system defined object.
