New sizing procedure for Oracle Retail engagement is outlined below (effective June 2013 onwards).
If your customer is in the pre-sales phase with Oracle Retail (has not yet purchased their software), they are entitled to a pre-sales hardware sizing from Oracle.
Your customer should request this pre-sales hardware sizing from their Oracle Retail sales representative. This sizing will be “generic” and may need to be “converted” to an IBM-specific hardware offering.

This pre-sales sizing should not be used to order the production hardware.
The determination of hardware needed for production should be made between the customer and their implementation.
If your customer has already purchased their Oracle Retail software, they should engage their implementation partner for any future sizings.
