Requalification

Keep your profile updated!

It's important to check your profile on a regular basis to ensure it's up-to-date. The information you enter in your PartnerWorld profile is used to:

  1. Calculate your company's PartnerWorld participation level
  2. Populate the IBM Business Partner directory on ibm.com which is accessed by IBM customers, other IBM Business Partners, and internal IBM organizations
  3. Allow participation in PartnerWorld initiatives
  4. Feed to downstream applications such as PartnerWorld lead management
  5. Determine the communications you receive from PartnerWorld
  6. Populate your company profile in the Business Partner Locator Tool

Use the checklist below to help keep your PartnerWorld profile up-to-date (Authorized Profile Administrator - APA - access is required to perform all checks below, except entering a candidate id to your employee profile and selecting your areas of interests for communications purposes).

Review your PartnerWorld profile level summary for accuracy:


Certifications and Verified Business Partner Solution skills accuracy

Ensure all employees' certifications/skills are being counted.

  1. Click on Update your profile
  2. Sign in and select your Country Enterprise Profile.
  3. Click on "PartnerWorld level summary" to see details.
  4. At the bottom of the Full PartnerWorld Level Summary, click on "Click here to see how skills are counted toward level attainment".
  5. At the bottom of the "Skill Summary Page" click on "View skill summary report for all employees" to see all employee certifications.
  6. To view Verified Business Partner Solution skills details - Go to the Global Solutions Directory Select Manage Solutions section and log in. Select choice to "submit a solution or client reference for verification." You will be direct to a new page. At the bottom of the page past submissions with their status will be listed.
 

Client references

Client references may be submitted for verification and publication credit towards PartnerWorld membership level points. A reference will be worth two points and remains valid for two years. The client reference must document the installation of your solution at an end user customer, using one or more currently marketed IBM technologies and must be approved for external usage with either clients and/or other Business Partners. You may leverage third party vendor translation support to meet requirements.

Note: References for Business Partner internal use or use by a subsidiary are not eligible for points.


Customer satisfaction points accuracy  

Ensure your points are accurate by following these steps:

  1. Click on Update your profile
  2. Sign in and select your Country Enterprise Profile.
  3. Click on "PartnerWorld level summary" to see details.
  4. Be sure the points are reflected on the Full PartnerWorld Level Summary under Customer Satisfaction.If you wish to begin a customer survey engagement, please allow at least 1 ½ months to complete the customer survey process and attain your scores.
  5. If you wish to begin a customer survey engagement, please refer to website for complete details on how to begin.

Business Impact points accuracy

Your company will receive points, based on the greater of -- total revenue points for current year or total points for previous year. If you have revenue or new client win data that is not appropriately reflected in the Full PartnerWorld Level Summary under Business Impact, take these actions:

  1. Click on Update your profile
  2. Sign in and select your Country Enterprise Profile.
  3. Click on "PartnerWorld level summary" to see details.
  4. On the Full PartnerWorld Level Summary under Business Impact, be sure the points are reflected accurately
  5. For Software, your Passport Advantage ID may be missing if no revenue points are displayed. Call PartnerWorld with this information to have this revenue included, if applicable.
  6. For New Client Win, if no points are displayed, contact PartnerWorld at PWMS@us.ibm.com

Business Partner directory information accuracy

Review the information that appears in the Business Partner directory on ibm.com by following these steps:

  1. Select "Update your profile" from the right navigation.
  2. Sign in and select your Country Enterprise Profile
  3. Click "Marketing information" from the left navigation.
  4. Check to see that "Yes" is selected in the dropdown for "Publish information to other Business Partners" and "Publish information to Customers."
  5. Review your "Company Description" and "Solutions and Services provided" entries.
  6. Click "Save" at the bottom of the page to save your profile.

Review your company's business model selection

  1. Select Update your profile from the right navigation
  2. Sign in and select your Country Enterprise Profile
  3. Click "General information" from the left navigation.
  4. Scroll down to the Business Models selection box and make changes if necessary.
  5. Click "Save" at the bottom of the page to save your profile.

Personal interest areas and newsletter subscripion preferences

Your personal interest areas and newsletter subscripion preferences (used to determine the communications you receive).

  1. Select "Update your profile" from the right navigation.
  2. Sign in and select your employee profile.
  3. Select "Communications preferences".
  4. Choose to opt-in or out of e-mail communications.
  5. Scroll down to the "Interest areas and newsletter subscription preferences
  6. Click "Add this information" and populate the fields if you haven't done so already; otherwise review your selections.
  7. Complete the "Areas of interest" section if you haven't already.
  8. Click "Save" at the bottom of the page to save your profile.

While in your profile, be sure you have accepted the PartnerWorld Agreement (in your Country Enterprise record under PartnerWorld Information). Read the agreement now.
