Part 1: Don't Just Survive, Thrive!
Every entrepreneur knows that after you reach your first summit, there is always another hill to climb. At the Le Meridien in San Francisco, we shared startup stories about the many hills to climb—from early growth, through rapid growth to stable continuity. In this interactive session, entrepreneurs shared their "war stories"—challenges faced, problems solved, and the challenges startups are facing now.
Part 2: Realize Tomorrow, Today
After sharing stories about "the good, the bad and the ugly" of creating a startup, entrepreneurs joined us at The Bently Reserve next door to listen to a rapid-fire pitch competition from eight SmartCamp startup finalists from around the world: Coriell Life Sciences, Geekie, Nova Lumos, OnFarm, Reengen, Shopa, Temando and TMC.
While the judges deliberated on the finalists, participants listened to a fireside chat from top notch venture capitalists and serial entrepreneurs, including an inspiring special guest keynote from Eric Ries, entrepreneur and New York Times Bestselling Author. Find out who was selected as the IBM Global Entrepreneur of the Year!
