Question: May I nominate my company in multiple IBM Impact Award categories?
Answer: Yes. An IBM Business Partner may be nominated in more than one award category. A particular solution, however, can only be nominated in one solution-based award category – Best Customer Integration, Smarter Process, Cloud Innovation, Mobile Innovation or PureApplication System. For example, the same solution cannot be nominated for both Best Customer Integration and Smarter Process.
Question: Does my nomination need to feature a solution supported by the latest IBM WebSphere software announced in 2012 / 2013?
Answer: No. Your nominated solution is not limited to using only Websphere software announced in 2012 or 2013. However, the WebSphere software used in your solution must be a current release (in-market.). Please note that preference will be given to those solutions deployed on the latest releases of our offerings.
Question: What benefits do my team and company receive if we are selected an award winner?
Answer: Please refer to the Award benefits page.
Question: When does the nomination submission process close?
Answer: Nominations for each award category must be received by March 15, 2013 at 11:55pm Eastern Time.
Question: What is the judging process?
Answer: Nominations for all Impact award categories will be evaluated by at least three IBM thought leaders. The judges will also score each nomination based on their assessment & evaluation. The nominations with the highest scores will be further evaluated by the same panel of judges who will then jointly select the winner and finalists.
For the Impact Best of Show Award, the panel of judges will select the top four semi-finalists using the process previously described. These semi-finalists are then required to demonstrate their solution at the Solution Center on Sunday April 28th, 2013 at a designated time between 5:00pm to 7:00pm local time. Each semi-finalist will have 15 minutes to highlight their solution in the most impressive manner they see fit.
Question: When will winners and finalists be announced and recognized?
Answer: The winners of the Best Customer Integration, Smarter Process, Mobile Innovation, PureApplication System , Distributor Excellence and Cloud Innovation will be announced during the Business partner Summit Keynote presentation on April 28th 2013. Winners will be called to the stage to receive their trophies. The winner for the IMPACT Best of Show Award will be announced during the General Session on Monday April 29th, 2013.
Question: Why do I need to use or create an IBM ID and password to enter a nomination?
Answer: Your IBM ID and password are required so that you can manage your nominations securely. By logging in with your IBM ID, you become the sole author of that nomination. This allows you to be the only one able to edit and submit the nomination.
Question: Can IBM WebSphere customers nominate IBM Business Partners?
Answer: Yes, we highly encourage our customers to nominate their WebSphere Business Partners.
Question: How does the Impact Awards program differ from PartnerWorld Beacon awards?
Answer: The IBM PartnerWorld® Beacon Awards program also recognizes Business Partners, but it encompasses IBM hardware and software brands, including WebSphere software. The WebSphere software brand has one award category in the Beacon awards — Outstanding Business Agility Solution Award sponsored by WebSphere®.
