Sunil, I agree with you. It's a matter of definition and fit for that defined purpose. My opinion is that IBM BPM has more capability end to end than any other company. The seems to have been some agreement by analysts on the definition of BPM. These days BPM tends to mean more about data centric transactional systems integration engines. Clearly this is not where FileNet BPM fits. This is why, I believe, the analysts have coined a new market segment called "Dynamic Case Management", "Automated Case Management", or "Advanced Case Management". This is the segment that IBM Case Manager and FileNet P8 5.0 clearly fit in. This is not reflected in the Gartner 2010 Magic Quadrant.
