What are some effective ways to promote social software inside your organization? I have some lessons learned, but am interested in your ideas as well. Is it a top-down executive instruction? Is it a surgical approach, one team at a time?

My Team Experience - Example of Organic Adoption2009-04-10T18:21:34Z in response to Martha MealyAfter several months of 'playing' with our social software tools, our GTM team at Lotus has decided to make the move to using the Quickr and Connections in a more consistent, structured fashion. I was asked to come up with some best practices for our team and present them. I'm building a short 'cheat sheet', a presentation for our next team meeting, and our team community as our gathering point. I'll share these pieces here, of course. But this is an example of where the interest and trust in the tools reach a tipping point on our team where we pulled them toward us. I think that this is happening organically across our organization. It is perhaps the longer way for adoption to develop.
