Pinned topic Is it worth upgrading to P8 V 5.0 ?

‏2010-11-19T03:00:35Z |
I was wondering whether it is worth upgrading to the new P8 5.0 to be released tomorrow. I have a 4.5.1 system. I cannot see any gains other than PE on a non-windows platform as well as some CFS modules / Content Search capabilities. Of course, ACM is the new buzz word... let me know if anyone has similar thoughts on the upgrade path.

There are some performance improvements, CMIS is native API, and REST based API's. If you are heading toward web 2.0 development then the upgrade to 5.0 will be beneficial.

Web-based Administrative Console for Content Engine as an alternative to FileNet Enterprise Manager and improved user interface are some of the cool features I found.
