After upgrading to Feature Pack 7, you may encounter error when trying to preview if the port 3738 is not defined properly on the solr webserver.
When previewing, you may receive an error like the following:
If you take a look at the logs, you will see that it is throwing a connection refused exception.
LoggingHelper E /GenericJSPPageError.jsp - java.net.ConnectException: Connection refused: connect
The problem is that the preview is using ssl on port 3738 and if that has not been defined, you will see this error when trying to preview content.
There is an option to automatically configure when enabling feature, but you can also do this manually.
Here are the steps to add the configuration to the solr webserver to get preview working.
When the feature is enabled, it saves a local copy of the httpd.conf to WC_InstallDir/instance/(instanceName)/search/solr/home/httpconf.
Edit the file and copy entries for the 3738 port and past this in the httpd.conf of your solr webserver.:
Once you have added the configuration, restart the solr webserver and test the preview.
