The MSP Summit kicks off on Tuesday, June 11 with GM's Andy Monshaw and Deepak Advani hosting a general session on "Becoming a Next Generation MSP". Immediately following will be a breakout session highlighting Cobalt Iron. CEO Richard Spurlock has built his MSP business around Tivoli Storage Manager (TSM), offering 'Backup as a Service' in public, private and hybrid cloud environments. Richard will share how he did it and his view of innovative data protection.
On the second day of the MSP Summit, our VP of Storage Software Development, Steve Wojtowecz (aka 'Woj'), will lead with a discussion on "Enabling Your Managed Storage Services with the Cloud" that includes how emerging business models and technologies are creating new opportunities for MSPs in the Storage space. Woj will then turn the stage over to Thomas Bak, Co-Founder and CSO of Front-safe who will tell us about their self-service cloud portal that MSPs can use to deliver TSM backup and recovery services. Heinrich Venter, Managing Director at iSanity, will wrap up this session by sharing his company's experiences as an MSP leveraging the Front-Safe portal technology and TSM.
There are over a dozen other topics on the two day summit agenda, including talks by IBM and partner executives that are sure to resonate with all MSPs. To learn more please check out the conference website and I hope to see you throughout the MSP Summit in June at IBM EDGE 2013!
