I'm excited because I have an excuse to blog about one of my favorite IBM Tivoli Business Partner's--Jeff Cerny--since it's his birthday today. Not only is Jeff the Director of Marketing at generationE technologies, but he's a genuinely wonderful, caring, and warm-hearted individual.
One of my favorite memories of Jeff is when, over pumpkin ravioli and chocolate lava cake at Wolfgang Puck's in Downtown Disney, we talked about work, sure, but we spent most of the time talking about our wonderful families, mysteries of the universe, Groundswell, iJustine, Seth Godin, Guy Kawaski, and our favorite preachers.
Jeff also graciously shared his favorite moments at Pulse on video where he describes how IBM gave generationE "top honors" with the IBM Tivoli Business Partner Service Management Award for its partnership with Aircell on their new in-flight service, Gogo, which is built on Tivoli software and Google Earth.
In addition to being an all-around great guy, Jeff's an excellent corporate citizen and contributor to the Tivoli community, always willing to provide feedback on how IBM can improve its services and offerings, sharing his Pulse pictures on Flickr, and collaborating with with Tivoli's information development and wiki strategist, Denny O'Brien, as a pilot contributor to the Tivoli Application Dependency Discovery Management (aka TADDM) wiki.
Jeff, for all of your curiosity, warmth, patience, thoughtfulness, time, talent, and contributions, thank you and happy birthday!
