We're happy to announce another TADDM Community Sensor Day on January 28, 2010 - where IBM experts work with you to build customized sensors and grow our TADDM Community . Please sign up by January 22nd- see details below.
Sensor writers made up of TADDM developers, services, and best practices teams will spend a day with you to write new sensors. Since we are targeting the new "simpler to write" community sensors for this program, we suspect it will take one to two days to complete the sensors with the sensor writers.
Here's how it works. You provide the environment and domain knowledge for the sensor writers to build an application sensor. Setup the application to be discovered on a non-production server that you can make available to the sensor writer so there is no impact to production systems during the sensor writing process. Identify the key configuration files and configuration parameters (up to 10) that TADDM should collect with this sensor.
The sensor writer will write the sensor and make it available for testing, and ultimately for publishing on our TADDM community exchange site.
To sign up:
Please show your interest by using the "Submit Feedback" link on the TADDM Community site to receive further logistics and details. The deadline is January 22, 2010.
A few notes:
Since the intent is to benefit the community with these sensors, we would prefer to build sensors for commercially available applications, which others in the community will benefit from as well, such as applications on our Sensor hit list.
IBM does not support PMRs or APARs on these community sensors. Since the sensor source code gets published with the sensor, community members are free to modify, re-certify, and re-post to add any capability or fix any issues. As usual IBM supports related TADDM product issues under your current support agreement.
