Today we will be talking with analysts about the latest and greatest updates from System z GDPS
. What is GDPS I hear you ask. GDPS helps automate recovery procedures for planned and unplanned
outages to provide near-continuous availability and disaster recovery
capability. All good stuff I'm sure you will agree.
So later today one of our Distinguished Engineers, David Petersen, will be talking about the new capabilities introduced in GDPS 3.9 (around 20) along with some client success stories.

Each year, IBM delivers a new release of its GDPS set of disaster recovery and continuous availability solutions. This year, GDPS 3.9 provides more than 20 enhancements across the family of offerings, including synergy items with IBM disk and tape, extensions to functions for z/VM and Linux on System z, items addressing specific client requirements, and general reliability/availability/serviceability improvements.
David Petersen will review GDPS 3.9 and how it will benefit System z clients.
