I remember the first time I was able to access my email on my mobile device. The realization that I was no longer tethered to my desk was incredible, freeing and boosted my overall productivity. I could read and send emails with colleagues from virtually anywhere. Ah, the 1990s. A simpler time.
Today, accessing my enterprise collaboration network on the go is an absolute necessity. From my mobile device, I am frequently co-editing documents, checking off assigned tasks and interacting with communities to tackle business challenges. I even run video and slide meetings for thousands of users, all over the globe, using just my mobile device. With all of this, it’s no wonder that mobile access to email just isn’t enough anymore. In fact, email is now playing a smaller role for me when it comes to working and collaborating with others.
Fortunately, IBM provides high quality mobile applications that support all of my business collaboration needs. For example, using only my iPad, I can co-edit a document with others, share it with multiple communities, get their comments and questions, and even show the document in a web meeting I’m hosting. I can do this all without touching my laptop. The best part? IBM mobile apps are free and available from the Google, Apple, and Blackberry app stores with just one click.
IBM provides a top-notch enterprise social mobile experience that is elegant, powerful, and built for business. If you have not experienced IBM’s newest generation of business mobile apps, go download them now. If you’re like me, you will get those same feelings of excitement you got in the 90s. You’ll realize your users can bring their own device and do everything from vote on ideas, find experts, author & share documents, and even host web meetings from their mobile devices. It’s safe, secure and innovative. It’s from IBM.
