Holly, This is a very nice summary to help teams that are just getting started understand the value of the different venues. The most important input any team can get is to first perform research to understand where conversations are happening with their particular "offering" or topic and who is engaged.
I'd also recommend following Katie Keating @thingshesaid https://twitter.com/#!/ThingsSheSaid because she's a great example of someone that successfully uses Twitter for both er professional and personal interests. @IBMCloud on Twitter https://twitter.com/#!/IBMcloud is also another good one. And Redbooks on Facebook http://www.facebook.com/IBMRedbooks is a great corporate implementations to review, recently assessed as one of the top implementations in IBM.

Holly: Thanks for summarizing the pros/cons of the various social media channels...it helps to be selective...especially when starting out. Also, I like your advice on dealing with negative feedback by "trolls"...hadn't heard that term before...it describes those pesky cybernauts so well.
